I was just included in an awesome Jam session. The instructor, Micheal was leading the group. I was playing an acoustic guitar, while a young woman was on keyboard and Michael on bass. Though the musical progression was fairly simple, Michael was demonstrating a basic rhythm but emphasized the importance of mixing it up and then coming back “home” to the basic rhythm. This was a great lesson on technique. The best part was the fun of jamming with others as a group. I made mistakes here and there but we just kept jammin’. We sounded great. This was a welcome change-up from the regular lessons. We applied what we learned in our individual lessons. What a wonderful way to improve my guitar playing. Bravo, Harborfields Music Center.
